What’s the story behind the Baseball NFT?
Polydoge has always been a community-first project.
Anyone who has witnessed the fervour in our Telegram, Discord, or around Twitter knows that it is this sheer passion that makes Polydoge the #1 community token on Polygon.
We wanted to give some of that passion back.
On June 12th, 2021, Polydoge helped sponsor the 2021 Celebrity Softball Classic in Arlington, Texas.
With this sponsorship, Polydoge will help aid the fight against child trafficking, while also providing educational scholarships to spouses and children of fallen and disabled services members in the USA.
The Celebrity Softball Classic, benefiting Folds of Honor and Vets for Child Rescue, featured a co-ed celebrity softball game consisting of musicians, actors from film/television, reality television, professional athletes, and much more (including our very own Head of Sports Relations and former MLB Rangers pitcher, Gerald Smiley!)
We met with several of the celebrity players who wanted to give thanks to everyone who has joined the cause.
To mark this day, we have minted and distributed the very same card as an NFT to represent the night this community stepped up and gave back.
From the players, veterans, and organizers: “Thank you… all of you!”
